Aggressive Dog Training
Most dogs labeled “aggressive” are actually good dogs yearning to breakthrough. They just need a knowledgeable leader to teach them how to live in our world.
Puppy Training & Manners
Our Board & Train program will set a strong foundation of socialization and manners for your puppy.
Reactive Dog Training
Reactive dogs are often under-socialized; they feel trapped in a world they don’t understand, so they simply react, making bad choices like growling and biting.

With us, dogs learn more than just basic obedience commands, your dog learns how to exist confidently and consistently in a human’s world. During board and train, your dog will experience real life socialization, learning to walk politely without reacting while on structured pack walks. They will practice impulse control through staying on “place” for long durations while we go about real life, making dinner, working on the computer, having company over, etc. They learn to just calmly hang out with us without barking when the door bell rings, jumping on guests, or begging at the table.
Because we deal with a lot of aggressive dogs, our training is also incredibly structured. Most dogs labeled “aggressive” are actually good dogs yearning to breakthrough. They just need a knowledgeable leader to teach them how to live in our world. They have been under socialized and have not received realistic expectations or consistent consequences. Like Helen Keller, they feel trapped in a world they don’t understand, so they simply react, making bad choices like growling and biting. We’ll teach you how to communicate to your dog what behaviors are acceptable, empowering them to make good choices, which builds their confidence and ultimately gives you a calmer companion.

Our Training/Kennel Facility is staffed 7 days a week between 7am until 10:30pm, allowing for those early morning and bedtime potty breaks, as well as many hours through out the day to work and play with your dog. We have a very small Trainer to dog ratio, assuring your dog will receive all the one-on-one attention they need. We break up training sessions, providing multiple shorter sessions through out the day. This helps your dog stay engaged with training, while allowing them multiple opportunities to join us outside of their kennel. Your dog will enjoy daily structured walks, one-on-one play time, and socialization/playtime with our balanced pack.
All dogs board in our new Training Facility which is located right where we live on our tranquil, hobby farm in Mechanicsville, VA. Our Training Facility and Kennel Rooms are fully climate controlled, have environmental monitoring, fire suppression, and multiple cameras we can access from anywhere. We have 3 attached play yards that are artificially turfed for added cleanliness, with lighting for those early morning and late night potty breaks! Each yard has roofed areas providing shade and relief in inclement weather. Our Training Room is set up with an open concept, in-home feel. It offers a living room area with TV and dining area, so we can mimic real life situations your dog will encounter back home.
